Security Receptionist

 

Security Receptionist is a very important position as it’s the first point of contact between you and your customers. As the name implies, there are two critical elements involved in this position. The balance between security duties and receptionist responsibilities varies by employer. Our Security Receptionists are trained to have patience and to communicate with a confident and friendly attitude. They are trained to ensure attention to detail and are able to multitask.  

Duties:

  • Dealing with visitors and their requests
  • Answering internal/external calls
  • Receive and pass on mail deliveries.
  • Assist in the preparation of meetings.
  • Assist visitors when leaving the premises, e.g. arrange taxis
  • Patrolling premises to prevent or detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows and gates
  • Answer alarms and investigate disturbances
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of your premises
  • Contact the police or fire departments in cases of emergency
  • Check alarm circuits and ensure the alarm system is functioning properly
  • Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas
  • Monitor and adjust controls that regulate building systems, such as air conditioning, furnace
